# Rego policy input schema for a single trail v1

> Return the JSON Schema of the `input` a Rego policy published with
`--input-schema trail` receives: `trail`, `trails` and `evaluation`. Publishing
validates the policy against this same schema, so `opa check --strict --schema`
against it reports what publishing would. For a policy that reads only `trails`,
use `/schemas/evaluation-input/trails/v1`.
